"He was a man in total control - unapproachable, unforgiving, unfathomable. He was his own law and his own morality. He lived in a world dominated by an atmosphere of fatalism. He was the first comic book anti-hero." -- Jim Steranko's History of Comics

If you find these too small to read, I have bigger scans here. They are almost to 2mbs a piece, so please no hotlinking.

Ann is one of the lucky ones. Falling for Blackhawk is often fatal within the story.

Also, for those familiar with the Blackhawks I feel the need to add this, NOTHING HAPPENED TO THESE GUYS AFTER THE 1950S. NOTHING, I SAY. They all died of old age while fixing planes or battling villains. And Chop-Chop became a world famous cook that funded the whole Blackhawk Enterprise when not punching out criminals or helping little old ladies across the street.
